Default Travelling Film Festival @ Tors Drive-In 5-7 OCTOBER 2012

THE TRAVELLING FILM FESTIVAL COMES TO CHARTERS TOWERS @ TORS DRIVE-IN FROM5-7 OCTOBER 2012

The Travelling Film Festival (TFF) loads up the ute and heads north to Charters Towers, bringing the best in world cinema to the iconic Charters Towers Tors Drive-In from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 October. After visiting for the first time in 2011 the TFF is back again, taking local folk and blow-ins alike on a cinematic journey around the world, showcasing films from Australia, USA, France, Lebanon and Denmark. There's something for film-lovers of all tastes, with a laugh-out-loud comedy, clever satire, lush costume romance and thrilling drama.

Opening Night features the sexy Aussie comedy, Not Suitable For Children, starring home-grown hottie export Ryan Kwanten (True Blood), the gorgeous Sarah Snook and the dry-as-dust Ryan Corr. It's the highly anticipated feature film debut from acclaimed short filmmaker, Peter Templeman, whose films have won thirty-eight major festival awards between them, culminating in an Oscar nomination for The Saviour in 2007. The screening will be followed by complimentary Opening Night drinks.

The Festival features an impressive line-up of critically-acclaimed films including: Bernie, which was officially selected for SXSW and London Film Festivals in 2012 and sees actor Jack Black and director Richard Linklater reunite again after their smash hit, School of Rock; A Royal Affair which won a Silver Bear at the 2012 Berlin International Film Festival; Le Chef, winner of the Audience Award at Milan and Thessanolki, and selected in Un Certain Regard at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival; and the winner of the Ecumenical Jury at Cannes as well as the People's Choice Award at Toronto, Where Do We Go Now?
