Default Travelling Film Festival Tors Drive-In 28-30 October

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN CHARTERS TOWERS! SYDNEY TRAVELLING FILM FESTIVAL COMES TO TOWN 28-30 OCTOBER AUSTRALIAN HIT RED DOG OPENS THE FESTIVAL, WITH SPECIAL GUEST PRODUCER NELSON WOSS

The Sydney Travelling Film Festival lifts the curtain on its inaugural event in Charters Towers, bringing a weekend of world cinema to Tors Drive-In, 28-30 October.

The festival features five critically acclaimed films and caters to all tastes, from life in a monastery to sexy comedy, from Aussie mateship to French animation. Saturday night is comedy night screening the acclaimed Norwegian comedy, winner of the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance - Happy, Happy, followed by wickedly funny action-packed UK hit The Guard.

Sunday's session will take audience to neon lit Paris in the 1950s with The Illusionist, a charming French animation film by Sylvain Chomet (Triplets of Belleville), followed by Grand Jury Prize winner, Of Gods and Men, a compelling tale of faith and heroism.

Opening night screens the much anticipated new Australian feature Red Dog, based on the legendry true story of a stray kelpie who arrives in a dusty Western Australian town in 1971 and roams the Australian outback in search of his long lost master. Special guest, Producer of Red Dog, Nelson Woss will introduce the film and hold a Q&A after the screening. The Q&A will be followed by complimentary drinks.
