The Dalrymple Country Music Club will be hosting its 21st Annual Country Music Festival in the 'Barn' at the Charters Towers Showgrounds on the 4th, 5th & 6th September 2009.
The weekend will kick off with a Prince/Princess Quest for the Junior/ Juvenile entrants at 6.30pm. Judging is based on personality & vocal ability and there is also the Charity Prince/Princess Title. Entry to Friday night is Free and the Canteen and Bar will be operating. Interested persons for the Prince/Princess Quest should contact the Club Secretary on 4787 3015 or mobile 0427 869 909 as soon as possible to nominate.
Competitive sections kick off at 9.00am Saturday & Sunday Mornings with registration for Competitors at 8.30am. Age Sections include Pee Wees (under 9 yrs), Juvenile (under 9 yrs to under 13 yrs), Junior (under 13yrs to under 17 yrs) and Adult (17 yrs and over). Finals start at approx 1pm on Sunday on completion of the competitive sections.
Gate fees for Saturday and Sunday are $5 Adults, $2 School Age Children & Pensioners.
Breakfast is available from 8am on Saturday & Sunday and the bar is open from 10am until late on both days. There will also be Face Painting for the kids.
