Community Directory???

Hi all,

I am a Project Officer for a Government funded youth organisation that is attempting to establish a contact base in Charters Towers. I have looked everywhere and am not having much luck finding a community directory for Charters Towers. Does anyone have any idea where I can get my hands on one? Also am chasing a Business Guide/Directory??? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello and welcome Ces Bracher.

We did here at Charters-towers.com, start to write a program for such a local directory in the perl program language. But had to stop and start again in a new program language called php. So the Charters-towers.com local community directory and business guide or directory to date, is a way of being finished.

To help you now, find local community information, a quick way would be to contact the local, Charters Towers City Council.

Thanks Kelly, I've been on the council website a number of times and have not managed to find the information or the right person to contact. I'll just keep persisting and eventually will find someone. Thanks for you help. I'll keep trawling through here from time to time for info as well.

Hi Ces.

People have said to us, when we were researching information for the Charters-towers.com local community directory and or a local business guide for the community. We were looking for help in financial aid in getting it started. Also up to date content information as in names, phone numbers and address. People said that the Queenton Lions Club do produce such a book each year. And for us to contact them for up to date information.

Queenton Lions Club of Charters Towers could help you, but at this time do not have any contact details for them.
